Our café is currently closed during the Coronavirus situation but is normally open all day (8am to 5pm Monday-Friday, 9am-12.30pm Saturdays) for morning coffee, snacks, light lunches and afternoon teas, both to eat in and take away.
We have a professional-grade coffee machine to make cappuccinos, espressos, lattes and more, while tea can be served in a simple mug, or a proper pot with china cups and saucers. We also offer a range of caffeine-free hot drinks, including decaf coffee, herbal teas and hot chocolate, which can be ordered with or without whipped cream and marshmallows. And all our drinks can be made vegan-friendly – just ask about our milk alternatives when you place your order!
We make sandwiches and toasties to order between 10.30am and 4.00pm (last orders 3.30pm) and a small selection of fresh meat and vegetarian pastries are delivered daily. We also offer vegan and gluten-free options!
Seasonal lunch specials include home-made vegetarian soup, quiches, pita bread with guacamole, plus paninis & salads.
And of course, you can always treat yourself to a slice of home-made cake, brownie or a flapjack!
Our outside eating area is popular with dog walkers (our dog water bowl is always filled) and cyclists (free water bottle top ups) as well as horse riders. We are also now proud to be part of the refill.org.uk scheme.
If you’re planning a large group cycle or hike through the village, you can phone us ahead of time to give the number in your party and your estimated arrival time – that way we’ll be ready to welcome you with your reserved table and preferred refreshments!
We’ve added colourful flowerboxes to our outdoor seating area and in the spring and summer often have local plants for sale.
On hot summer’s days we have an array of ice creams and lollies as well as cold drinks, including delicious iced lattes. And don’t forget to ask for one of our loyalty cards – get a stamp each time you buy a coffee or tea and your 7th cuppa is free!
